Trapped inside the Black Lodge, FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper receives a message from the Giant, who tells him to remember "430" and "Richard and Linda". In Twin Peaks, Washington State, Doctor Jacoby receives a shipment of shovels, while at the ‘Great Northern Hotel’, owner Ben Horne meets with his brother Jerry. Elsewhere, Dale Cooper’s evil doppelgänger, a sinister, long-haired man known as ‘Mr C’, visits a diner to collect two associates, Ray and Darya. Inside a high-rise building in New York, a young man named Sam has been paid by an anonymous billionaire to watch over a large glass box inside a top-secret facility. After receiving a visit from his friend Tracey, Sam makes out with her - but then a demonic humanoid creature materialises inside the box and brutally kills the pair of them... In Buckhorn, South Dakota, police are called in to investigate a strange smell emanating from apartment 26 at 134a Arrowhead; inside they find the severed head of librarian Ruth Davenport atop the headless corpse of a John Doe... Deputy Chief Hawk receives a phone call from the Log Lady, who bears a message from her log: evidence relating to Dale Cooper is missing; Hawk elicits help from Andy and Lucy in searching the station’s files... Detective Dave Madeley learns that fingerprints found all over Ruth’s apartment belong to school principal Bill Hastings; the man is arrested and brought in for questioning, but his alibi has discrepancies, and his car trunk holds a gruesome secret…
